Legends of the Black Wolf

Steinolf

Steinolf

Steinolf was raised in the mountains in the north of Black Wolf territory.

His family died when he was fairly young, so he learned to be fairly self sufficient. He showed a natural talent for healing, and started healing in local villages and settlements for food he could take back to wherever his latest camp was. Owning little, he was able to travel from place to place easily. One day, whilst he was healing someone, an old Greater Corporealist saw him and realised from his basic incantations that he was self taught, especially with the way he always called upon Fenris to help him.

The old man made a deal with him. He would teach Steinolf more Corporeal magics if he would take his place amongst the warhost, as he was getting old and the travel was taking its toll on him so much that he was not of much use when he arrived. Steinolf agreed and joined the warhost in 1107.

Steinolf participated in a ritual in Erin in 1108, as part of a Thing to the Great Wolf. Since being in the presence of Fenris, Steinolf has found himself becoming more 'religious'.

When Steinolf returned to Norsca, he went straight to the temple of Fenris. There he felt Fenris calling him to be one of his priests. After intense training, High Ghodi Thorn gave his approval that Steinolf be called a Ghodi of Fenris. When he returned to the warhost to destroy the Svartelf threat he proved he was up to the job.

At the Fayre of Albion in 1109, High Ghodi Thorn sent a message to the warhost stating that he was having to deal with a threat back in Norsca and that the Church of Norsca within the warhost was to be governed by a Coucil consisting of Steinolf, Linnea, the CHosen of Hel, and Tanathar Tyv, amongst others.
